Community This page is a placeholder. In the future, this section will allow users to share resilience resources, such as family emergency plans, safe practices, and helpful checklists. This participatory approach not only enhances the website’s content but also encourages a sense of ownership among it’s users, who can see their contributions directly impacting the site’s usefulness. As this data would be sensitive, work needs to be done to secure the content to respect appropriate tikanga, including Maori data sovereignty, while making it accessible (note that Sites such as Facebook, do not respect these rights). This data could be organised in logical groupings from public and Iwi wide, to regional groups (eg Ngāti Awa ki Rangitaiki, Motiti, etc), and down to individual marae, hapū and whanau groups. For now please take a look at Civil Defence Marae Emergency Preparedness’ toolkit for your Marae and this site on how to make your own plan.
