Staying informed can help whānau protect themselves and their whenua. The Ngati Awa’s own interactive ArcGIS map offers an easy way to learn about the rohe and it’s Taonga. Check it out here: Ngāti Awa Natural Hazards Map How to Use the Map 1. Open the Map Click on the link above. 2. Toggle Layers • Select the “Layers” icon or panel to see available hazard layers (e.g., Flood, Earthquake, Tsunami). • Turn layers on or off by clicking the checkboxes. 3. Zoom and Pan • Use your mouse or the “+” and “–” buttons to zoom in/out. • Click and drag to move around the map. 4.
